Based on the minimum requirements of the National Fire Protection Association, 1081, Industrial Fire Brigade Member, Professional Qualifications, 2001 Edition.

Requirements:

• Candidates shall be at least 18 years of age.

• Candidates shall be certified at the level of Incipient Industrial Fire Brigade Member from the Louisiana Firefighter Certification Program or another agency accredited by the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC).

• The Advanced Exterior Industrial Fire Brigade Member examination includes portions of twenty-seven (27) fire related subjects requiring the successful completion of cognitive (written) skill and manipulative (practical) skills. Written examinations require 70% or greater overall average and manipulative skill examinations are averaged together with the student receiving the grade of "P" for passing if successful.
