Description:

Fire Service Instructor I will demonstrated the knowledge and ability to deliver instruction effectively from a prepared lesson plan, including instructional aids and evaluation instruments; adapt lesson plans to the unique requirements of the students and authority having jurisdiction; organize the learning environment so that learning is maximized; and meet the record-keeping requirements of authority having jurisdiction.

Requirements for Certification:

Candidates shall be at least 18 years of age

Complete a practical skills examination with a "Passing" score

Complete an 80 question written examination with a passing score of 70% or higher
