Description:

Awareness level personnel are those persons who, in the course of their normal duties, can be the first on the scene of an emergency involving hazardous materials. Awareness level personnel are expected to recognize the presence of hazardous materials/WMD, protect themselves, call for trained personnel, and secure the area.


Requirements for Certification:

Candidates shall be at least 18 years of age.

Complete a 50 question written exam with a passing score of 70% or higher.

There is no skills test for Awareness.
