Based on the minimum requirements of the National Fire Protection Association, 472 Standard for Professional Qualifications, 2002 Edition.


Requirements:

  • Candidates shall be at least 18 years of age.
  • The Hazardous Materials Awareness Level examination includes portions of three(3) subjects requiring the successful completion of cognitive (written) skill and manipulative (practical) skills. Written examinations require 70% or greater overall average and manipulative skill examinations are averaged together with the student receiving the grade of "P" for passing if successful.
