Description:
A person qualified as a rope rescue technician level I/II has the ability to respond to rescue environment and perform both low and high angle rescues. This person has the ability to assess the scene, conduct a size-up, determine necessary resources, manage the incident using the incident command system and protect victims by providing medical care. Rope rescue technician has demonstrated the ability to set a single or multi-point anchor system, simple or complex hauling system, descend and ascend a rope system, preform necessary tasks as a litter attendant and conclude scene activities with rope and equipment maintenance.
Requirements for Certification:
Candidates shall be at least 18 years of age
Complete a practical skills examination with a "Passing" score
Complete an 100 question written examination with a passing score of 70% or higher
