Based
on the minimum requirements of
the National Fire Protection
Association, 1031 Standard for
Professional Qualifications, 1998 Edition.
Requirements:

Candidates
shall
be at least 18 years of age.

Candidates
shall
be certified at the Fire
Inspector I from the Louisiana
Firefighter Certification Program or another agency accredited by the
International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC).

The
Fire Inspector II examination includes portions of four (4) fire
related subjects requiring the successful completion of cognitive
(written) skill and manipulative (practical) skills. Written
examinations require 70% or greater overall average and manipulative
skill examinations are averaged together with the student receiving the
grade of "P" for passing if successful.
