David Fultz currently serves as assistant director of Training Operations at LSU Fire and Emergency Training Institute.  Prior to employment at FETI, he worked at LSU Eunice as assistant professor of fire science.  He also served as acting head of the Division of Applied Science and Technology at LSUE.

Mr. Fultz received a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from Western Kentucky University.  His continuing education includes college credit work at the University of Cincinnati, with courses at the National Fire Academy and Emergency Management Institute.  David completed several courses at Louisiana State University at Eunice, both credit and non-credit.

Before coming to Louisiana, David was employed by Eastern Kentucky University Fire Prevention and Control as an itinerate instructor of fire science. He also worked in the Meade County School System as an itinerate reading specialist.

David’s fire service background includes recorded volunteer service of 13 years, with 2400 hours of documented training in the State of Kentucky.  He was appointed Disaster Emergency Coordinator in Meade County, Kentucky.  He has served as Hazardous Materials Facility Coordinator and Chair of the Safety Committee at LSU Eunice.  David also served on Acadia Parish Emergency Response Committee for Hazardous Materials Contingency Planning in Crowley, Louisiana.
