Kathe Jones graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University with a BA in Cultural Resource Management in December 2000. She was hired by LSU FETI in April 2001 to work for the Hazardous Materials Program in Holden, Louisiana. During her time in Holden, she gained instructional guidance from Louisiana State Police as well as LSU FETI instructors. In July 2002, the Hazardous Materials Program returned to Baton Rouge and Ms. Jones served as a lead instructor.
In August 2004, she joined the Rescue Program. Ms. Jones has instructed various subjects, including Hazardous Materials, Rescue, and Weapons of Mass Destruction. She has IFSAC certifications, including HazMat Awareness, Operations, Technician, and Instructor I. Kathe’s ODP certifications include Train-the-Trainer for WMD 100, WMD AWR 160, and Radiological Incidents. Ms. Jones is currently the Grants Coordinator as well as a Coordinator in the Rescue Program.
