Born and raised in Baton Rouge, Laura Foster graduated from Broadmoor High School in 1998.  While in college, she gained hands-on financial experience working at a local credit union.  Laura graduated from Louisiana State University in 2003 with a degree in General Studies and a minor in Business Administration, Information Systems and Decision Sciences, Religion, and Speech Communications.  In June 2004, she started working with the university on a DNA sequencing grant, which later lead her to the position of business manager at Fire and Emergency Training.  Laura has always held firemen and the police close to her heart because of her husband’s work in local law enforcement, and her father being a charter member of the local volunteer fire department.
