Andrew Degenhardt was employed with Ward 1 Fire Department for six years as a firefighter/EMT, and was also a member of the dive rescue team. He worked for Richmond Fire Department in Kentucky for a period of one year. Mr. Degenhardt earned an associate’s degree in Fire Science in 2003 from LSU-Eunice. In 2005, he received both an associate’s degree in police studies and a Bachelor of Science degree in fire and safety engineering technology, with a concentration in fire, arson, and explosion investigation from Eastern Kentucky University. Andrew was hired by LSU FETI in the spring of 2007 to teach HazMat classes.
