Ron Kimberlin is a graduate of McLouth High School in McLouth, Kansas.  He attended Hutchinson Community College and earned an Associate’s Degree in Broadcasting.

Mr. Kimberlin worked for a television station in Topeka, Kansas for one year.  He joined the Atchison Fire Department in 1980.  Ron also worked at a volunteer fire department in Valley Falls, Kansas, where he lived at the time.  Mr. Kimberlin left Atchison FD to serve as an EMS director for Horton Community Hospital’s ambulance service in 1988.  In 1990, he was offered an instructor position at LSU Fireman Training, teaching industrial firefighting and hazardous materials training.  Ron became a regional instructor for LSU FETI in 2000, teaching in Region 1.  Mr. Kimberlin left FETI in 2002 when he was offered an industrial supervisor position for the Tennessee Fire Service and Codes Enforcement Academy in Bell Buckle, Tennessee.  He worked for Tennessee for five years.  Ron has recently returned to LSU Fire and Emergency Training to instruct classes in Region 1 (southern Louisiana).

Mr. Kimberlin is married and has three kids.
